Most designs have the car EVSE and the inverter for V2L/V2G together, like the Ford and VW setup that plug into your CCS port. The drawback to the VW bi-di inverter is its 220V 3 phase so only for EU. Not so sure - you could get 3 separate 120V circuits out of the thing pretty easily.
Do you have transients on a 12V inverter?
